When we set out to launch The Music Magazine, we were apprehensive. We didn't know how it would be received.

That fear, we are happy to say, was soon dispelled. Our site has recorded over 125,000 hits so far. This is a record for any comparable site. We have received e-mail from readers from all corners of the globe, a few of which we reproduce in the Letters column.

The response has been reassuring, but it has also brought greater challenges. We had planned to update the site once a week, but many readers insisted they wanted more frequent updates. That's how we came to update the site every two or three days. Yes, it has been a tough grind, but it has been a job we have enjoyed.

This month we introduce a message board. You can use it to post your opinions on our site. It is also a good place to announce concerts, tell music lovers about things you think they should know. What you write shows up on the site the moment you submit it. Of course you can continue to e-mail us using the feedback button. That way we read it first and maybe put it up later in the Letters section.
