Great feeling

I just opened the site. It's a great feeling to see a genuine effort. Congratulations on taking the bold leap forward.

Raga?

You have said that Rahman needs to give his fans some raga. Allow me to tell you that Rahman has proved very adept at delivering raga/melody songs. Let me give some examples: Ennavale Adi Ennavale (Kadhalan), Naan Pandum Sandham, En Kadhale, Anjali Anjali (Duet), Kannukku Mai Azhagu (Pudhiya Mugam), etc.

Please listen to some of them before you conclude anything about his raga/melody capabilities.

Wonderful review

Thank you very much for the wonderful review of the Ilaiyaraja album Nilave Mugamkattu. Hope we have many more reviews and articles on Ilaiyaraja, MSV, Karthik Raja.

Splendid website

It is quite by chance that I stumbled upon your site. Really glad that I discovered this splendid website. With the volume of music being churned out every day, your website is the answer to every music lover's search for information to make that discerning choice.

I also appreciate the fact that you have not limited yourself to a couple of languages and have reviewed music in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil etc. In spite of a near impeccable job I feel there is scope for improvement. That review of Taal was excellent. And you really have to credit the person who wrote such a good review!

Found Marasim at last!

Thanks for your efforts, really good site to surf on. For one month I searched all search engines (including Indian ones) but could not find any reference to Marasim. Ultimately I found news about your site on the BBC, went there and was really impressed. Jagjit singh and Gulzar are my favourites.

Killer site!

I always thought sooner or later somebody would come up with a killer site on Indian music. Congratulations on your venture. Please keep the site alive and interesting. I am still exploring, hopefully you have included a place for nostalgia. You can include interviews and chat sessions. A good place to promote indian classical music (both Karnatak and Hindustani).

Some suggestions

You are doing a great job. I have forwarded your link to many of my music-loving friends.

Some suggestions:

You may place small icons of Indian musical instruments at the beginning of a story.

Reviews of Indian instrumental music will help a lot of young Indians abroad.
